Job Description:
Position Overview
We are seeking an Object Oriented C++ Software Engineer to work on large commercial CAD applications. The employee will perform design and software programming for the NX CAD product with focus on surpassing customer expectations and achieving high quality and on-time delivery. The position requires performing all of the SDLC steps of software design for one area of a product. The employee will create, document and execute software designs for focused product areas. Some customer interaction may be required.
Responsibilities
Contributes individually or in ateam as needed to meet the requirements of various software projects.
Maintains existing software codeand resolves customer and internally reported problems.
Able to write clean, robust and maintainablecode to minimize the cost of defects over time.
Works with customers to understandand improve existing code for their area.
Follows the various steps in theSDLC process including writing design documents and coding.
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
Bachelors or Masters degree inComputer Science, Engineering, or other numerate discipline from a reputedinstitute.
Must have a strong knowledge ofC++ (1-5 years of experience).
Knowledge of advanced datastructures, object oriented analysis and design.
Must have demonstrated skills indesign and programming. (1-5 years of experience)
Highly desired to have abackground in OpenGL graphics development.
Desired to have knowledge ofadvanced algorithms in the CAD/CAM/CAE.
Ability to continually improve andlearn new areas.
Ability to work well in a team.
Proactive.
Easy to get along with.
Capable of independent work aswell as collaborative development.
Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
Product development experiencewill be a plus, as will familiarity with the software development lifecycle.
Experience inOpenGL, WebGL, Direct3D or programmable shaders will be a plus, preferablywith some experience in high end visualization toolkits / software.
