Manufacturing Specialist (Raptor Final Integration)

MANUFACTURING SPECIALIST (RAPTOR FINAL INTEGRATION)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create high-quality work orders, engineering masters, and other manufacturing resource planning and product lifecycle management system elements to support the manufacture of raptor engines and subassemblies

  • Interface with the manufacturing engineering and build reliability teams to resolve manufacturing discrepancies and implement cost-effective solutions

  • Drive labor hour and cycle time reductions through better build processes and design for manufacturing

  • Work with production supervisors and leads to overcome daily shop floor roadblocks and resolve emerging issues

  • Identify the need for shop aids and tooling that will increase work center productivity

  • Ensure design and implementation solutions are in-line with training and skillsets

  • Implement standard operating procedures, troubleshooting guides, and standard repair procedures

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate

  • 2+ years of professional experience in a manufacturing, process planning, or technician role

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, math, or science related discipline

  • 4+ years of experience working in an aerospace manufacturing technician, planning, or direct support role

  • Proficient understanding of assembly and subassembly fabrication techniques

  • Experience taking products through development cycle to full volume production

  • Understanding of common integration processes including propulsion and avionics assembly

  • Experience with design for manufacturability and assembly

  • Experience with Siemens NX (UG) and Teamcenter CAD and PDM systems is preferred

  • Experience with process development, facility and line layouts

  • Experience with Lean manufacturing Tools, PFMEA, value chain mapping, kanban, OEE and 5S

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Able to lift up to 25 lbs. unassisted

  • Able to climb ladders and be comfortable working in tight spaces

  • Willing to work all shifts, over time, and weekends as needed
